Airport and Flight Connections
While direct flights from Taipei and Hong Kong to Ishigaki Island’s international airport have been set up, they are currently suspended. The operations are expected to resume, but international flights are not available at this time. We will update flight schedules as new information becomes available.
Recommended Routes to Ishigaki Island:
1. Entry from neighboring regions
Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong: Excellent connection options are available through Okinawa airports.
- Korea: Flights operated by Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, and Eastar Jet
- Taiwan: Airlines include Tiger Air, Peach, and Starlux Airlines
- Hong Kong: Served by Hong Kong Airlines and HK Express
2. International Entry Points for Japan:
For participants from other countries, we recommend entering Japan through Tokyo or Osaka. IMPORTANT: Direct flights to Ishigaki Island are ONLY available from:
- Tokyo (Haneda Airport – HND)
- Osaka (Kansai International Airport – KIX)
Both airports offer direct flights to Ishigaki Island, providing convenient and efficient transfer options. There are Narita International Airport (NRT) in Tokyo and Osaka International Airport (ITM) in Osaka, but direct flights from these airports to Ishigaki Island are not available.
