Keynote talk title: Exploring Microdroplet Interactions in Electrospray-like Ion Sources
Pawel Urban received his MSc degree from the University of Warsaw (2002), PhD degree from the University of York (2008), and habilitation from the University of Warsaw (2024). In 2008-2010, he was Marie Curie postdoctoral research fellow in the ETH Zurich. Since 2011, he has been leading research team in Taiwan. He is currently professor of chemistry in the National Tsing Hua University. His team carries out fundamental and applied research in analytical chemistry field. The team developed automated mass spectrometric approaches for skin metabolomics and sample preparation methods for mass spectrometric analysis using bubbles. Recently, they have conducted several studies on the mechanisms underlying electrospray-related techniques. The team is also active in the development of optical biosensors. It has popularized the use of universal electronic modules in prototyping and automation of analytical instrumentation as well as chemical education.
