OORITOORI(Welcome)!
Ishigaki Airport, where you will be arriving, is located approximately 30 minutes by car from the city center. Below is information on transportation options from the airport to the city center(Ferry Terminal, Ishigaki Port).
Upon exiting the airport terminal, you will find bus stops on the left side and taxi stands on the right side.
Two bus companies operate on Ishigaki Island:
- Azuma Bus: Board at Stop A
- Karry Kanko: Board at Stop C
The bus stop locations are marked with letters A, B, and C on the columns of the airport building structure. Please look carefully, as these markings are quite subtle.
- From Stop A (Azuma Bus): Take bus #4 or #10
- Fare: 540 yen
- Bus #10 also stops at the ANA InterContinental Hotel (AOMCS2025 venue)
- From Stop C (Karry Kanko): Direct service to the Ferry Terminal
- Fare: 500 yen
During daytime hours, buses depart approximately every 15 minutes (four per hour). The last bus departs at 21:45.
Both bus companies accept contactless payment. Simply tap your compatible card or smartphone on the reader when boarding. Note: Azuma Bus is not a direct service. When using contactless payment, you must tap your card/device both when boarding AND when exiting the bus.
Taxi stands are located opposite the bus stops. A trip to the Ferry Terminal takes approximately 25 minutes with an estimated fare of 3,300 yen.
During the AOMCS2025 conference, complimentary shuttle buses will operate between the city center (Ferry Terminal and Art Hotel Ishigakijima) and the conference venue (ANA InterContinental Hotel) during morning and evening hours.
